Here’s a little backstory about me and my videography career…
I wasn’t that kid who was obsessed with filmmaking from birth.
And I’m not here to tell you I’m now shooting Hollywood blockbusters…
What I can tell you is this:
I got into video by accident.
I started making random videos for fun. Videos about my travels and one random video about the city of Rotterdam that I decided to post on LinkedIn. It got attention, and suddenly companies were reaching out asking if I could create videos for them.
The problem?
I was still working in corporate 9–5. Building marketing campaigns for a tech company fulltime. So when I told the potential customers I could only shoot on weekends because of my job, most backed out.

And that got me thinking…
Why was I spending my days in meetings about PowerPoints, while something I genuinely enjoyed was already opening doors for me?
What if I took this more seriously?
So I made the jump and left the safety of the corporate world.
How I Work (And Why It’s Different)
I’ve seen lots of video production companies show up with a full crew, heavy gear, and a complex setup. That approach works for big productions. But that’s not me.
I work solo.
That means:
- More flexibility – No waiting for big teams to coordinate schedules.
- Faster turnarounds – Because I don’t have to manage a crew, things move quicker.
- A smooth, stress-free process – I take care of everything, so you don’t have to.
And when it comes to style?
I keep it real.
I focus on capturing moments as they happen:
- The energy of an event
- The personality behind a brand
- The real interactions that make a story feel alive
I mix natural, unscripted moments with interviews to create videos that feel genuine and engaging. No over-the-top motion graphics. No unnecessary effects.
Just clean, cinematic visuals with a subtle edge, letting the story speak for itself.
And here’s the real game-changer:
I don’t just film. I think.
My background in marketing ensures your video isn’t just visually appealing, but actually helps you achieve your goals. Whether it’s an aftermovie, a corporate video or brand movie.
A Mix of Cultures
I was born in Suriname, raised in the Netherlands, and my deeper roots trace back to Java, Indonesia. It’s part of who I am and shows up in everything I do: how I connect with people, how I work and how I tell stories.
my roots
From Suriname…
Warmth, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for people. Growing up in such a diverse culture taught me how to connect with anyone, anywhere. That’s why I make sure my clients feel at ease on camera.
From Indonesia…
Patience, attention to detail, and sharp intuition. Javanese culture values thoughtfulness and precision, but without unnecessary rush. That’s how I approach my work. Meticulous, yet effortless for you.
From The Dutchies…
Directness, independence, and an entrepreneurial mindset. No fluff, no endless back-and-forth. I get things done. I make the process clear and straightforward. Problem-solving and focused on solutions.
Mix it all together, and you get someone who’s fast and efficient, but also personal and intuitive. Someone who takes work seriously but knows that creativity thrives when you enjoy the process.
Oh, and outside of filming?
I dance Bachata.
Beyond dancing just being fun, I’ll let you in on a little secret:
It’s taught me more than just how to move.
At its core, bachata is about expression and connection. Telling a story together, not with words, but with movement, rhythm, and feeling.
And in many ways, that’s exactly what I do with video. Because to me, video isn’t just a collection of clips.
It’s an emotion. An experience. Something that moves people.
Bachata also taught me something else:
Conquering limiting beliefs.
At first, you feel stiff and awkward. Like you’ll never get it right. But after practice and repetition, you start moving in ways you never thought you could.
That’s a mindset I bring into my work.
Whether it’s guiding a client who’s nervous on camera or pushing creative boundaries in a project, I know that growth happens when you push past what you think is possible.
When I’m not in work mode you’ll find me debating where to find the best food in town.
So if we ever grab a drink, we’ll probably end up talking about personal growth, building stuff and creating passive income.
If you’re looking for a creative partner who’s fast, flexible, and loves a bit of humor, let’s talk.
